This page explains how to disconnect a social account you connected to Purple Cow, how to revoke our access on the platform side, and how to delete your whole Purple Cow account. It is the data deletion instructions page referenced by our Privacy Statement and registered with Meta and TikTok.
Sign in → Profile → Verification → Social accounts → Disconnect next to the platform → confirm.
Effect, immediately: the encrypted access token is deleted; all audience snapshots and stored posts for that account are deleted; the verified follower count is removed from your profile.
What may remain: the record that an audience review took place (outcome, reviewer, date), kept for fraud-prevention and legal purposes without any platform data.
Google: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions → Purple Cow → Remove access.
Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites → Purple Cow → Remove.
Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → Purple Cow → Remove.
TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and services → Purple Cow → Remove access.
Once revoked, our next refresh fails, the connection is marked as no longer readable, and the token is discarded; disconnecting in Purple Cow (step 1) deletes the audience data too.
Sign in → Settings → Privacy & data → Closing your account → Close my account, or email [email protected] from your registered address with the subject "Data deletion request".
We confirm within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days: profile data is anonymised, connected social accounts and their audience data are deleted, notifications and sessions are removed.
Records we are legally required to keep (payment and tax records, contracts, dispute records) are retained for the periods in Section 11 of the Privacy Statement and cannot be linked back to you afterwards beyond what the law requires.
If you remove Purple Cow from your Meta "Apps and websites" settings, Purple Cow's access to that account is revoked immediately and no further data is retrieved.
Data already received is deleted when you disconnect the account in Purple Cow (step 1) or delete your account (step 3).
You can also email [email protected] quoting the Instagram or Facebook username to have it deleted for you; we confirm within 72 hours.
